I will dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
